The Abbey Pessoa Waterford bit has a series of large bobbles. The idea behind this style of mouthpiece is that it is very moveable and as the horse reaches into the mouthpiece with its tongue the mouthpiece moves so there is nothing for the horse to really lean into plus the mouthpiece feels uneven this should make the horse lighten its feel on the bit and therefore lighten in the bridle.
