COMPOSITION

Sodium is essential for proper muscle function and nerve impulse transmission, which is also the main function of potassium. It is important not only to give salt to your horse after sweating but always to use an electrolyte mixture that also contains potassium. Of all the electrolytes, Chloride is the most strongly represented in sweat. Chloride keeps the pH of the blood in balance and plays an important role in the production of stomach acid. Magnesium, in turn, has a relaxing effect on the muscles and helps to support the proper functioning of the nervous system. Calcium is also needed for the proper functioning of the muscles and to conduct stimuli to the nerves. In addition to minerals, the electrolytes also contain Dextrose, Fructose and Citric Acid. Sodium bicarbonate and Sodium phosphate perform a buffering role. They maintain the acid-base balance and increase the buffer effect in the muscles, so that lactic acid, cause of stiff and tired muscles, is neutralized. DOSAGE

In order to obtain an optimal recovery of the body after heavy effort, it is recommended to administer electrolytes maximum 2 hours before or immediately after sweating.
