This bit is a combination of a hackamore with a bit. The hackamore combo is a jaw piece with leverage and provides pressure on the nose, chin and in the mouth. The longer the scissors of the hackamore the stronger the leverage. This combination with short scissors has a less sharp action than the long hackamore combi. These bits are often used with very enthusiastic horses in the trail. Due to the leverage, this is a rather sharp bit and therefore not suitable for the inexperienced rider.
