What's the difference between a jump and a dressage saddle pad?
Shape, mainly. Jump and close-contact pads have a shorter, more forward-cut profile to match the angled flap of a jumping saddle. Dressage pads are longer and squarer to sit under a straight-cut flap. Using the wrong shape leaves the pad either poking out beyond the saddle or sitting short of it, neither looks right, and the second can cause rubbing.
What size saddle pad do I need?
