Equine America Sand Out Pellets are designed to support digestive health in horses and ponies that may ingest sand when grazing sparse pasture or eating from sandy or dusty ground. Accumulated sand in the gut can interfere with normal digestive function, and Sand Out Pellets provide targeted support to help manage this.

The formulation contains psyllium, which forms a gelatinous consistency and is thought to help stimulate gut movement (peristalsis), supporting the natural removal of sand from the digestive system. Due to the abrasive nature of sand, the gut lining and microbiome may also be affected, so the pellets include a probiotic to help support and restore a healthy gut microbiome.

Sand Out Pellets should be fed for 7 consecutive days each month to maintain effectiveness, as continuous use may reduce their benefit.

Feeding directions:
For a 500kg horse, feed 90g per day mixed into a small feed for 7 consecutive days each month, or as advised by your veterinary surgeon. Do not exceed 90g per day unless directed by your vet. A 45g (approx.) measure is enclosed.

Caution:

Do not add to wet feed or allow the pellets to soak, as this will activate the product before it reaches the gut. If adding to soaked feed, keep the pellets as dry as possible and add immediately before feeding.
