The reins can be attached to the large ring for downward pressure or to the lower half ring for mild leverage. This bit has limited movement compared to the cheekpiece, providing more stability in the mouth.

The cherry roller mouthpiece consists of loose rollers, which discourage the horse from grabbing the bit. This increases tongue activity, stimulates salivation, and helps relax the jaw. It is ideal for horses that are strong in the mouth, tend to grab the bit, or have trouble concentrating. The diameter of the bit is 16 mm.

Sweet Iron bits are made from steel and develop surface rust that tastes sweet, which helps improve the horse’s acceptance of the bit. Over time, the rust process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the bit to brown-grey.
