The Trust Sweet Iron 2.5 Eggbutt Wideport Segundo is a milder version of the 3-ring (Pessoa) bit. It offers light leverage that increases the lower the reins are attached. Suitable for horses that become strong during jumping, grab the bit, or pull through the rider’s hand. The fixed eggbutt rings provide a more direct response to rein aids.

The wideport segundo mouthpiece is double-jointed and features a movable port. It reduces pressure on the tongue by distributing it over the bars and allows slight lateral flexibility. The sharper angles of the port create extra pressure points, making it harder for the horse to lean on the bit or put its tongue over it. The diameter of the bit is 16 mm.

Sweet Iron bits are made of blue steel that forms surface rust when exposed to air humidity. This rust tastes mildly sweet and naturally stimulates salivation, helping the horse to accept the bit more easily.
