What is the best fly rug for horses?
The best fly rug combines close-weave mesh to keep insects out, UV protection for skin, and breathability to prevent overheating. A neck cover attachment is a great bonus for horses that are particularly bothered by midges.
Can my horse wear a fly mask all day?
Yes, most fly masks are designed for day wear outdoors. Remove and check the mask daily to clean the mesh and check for any rubbing around the ears or brow band.
What size fly rug does my horse need?
Measure from the centre of your horse's chest to the point of the buttock. This gives the rug length in centimetres or inches. When in doubt, size up for comfort and fuller coverage. Check our Size Chart here.
